Sangiovese is highly influenced by its geography and climate. The region in which it grows will produce either a fruity and aromatic “Fruit-Forward” vintage or one that is high-tannin and rustic. It is hard to find Sangiovese outside of Italy, however it thrives in Swan Creek. For context, there are roughly 150,000 acres of Sangiovese in Italy and less than 10,000 found in the rest of the world – California, Oregon and North Carolina included.
