MONTEPULCIANO

Swan Creek provides a similar climate and terrain to Montepulciano’s origins of Abruzzo, Italy. Despite sharing its name with the Tuscan village of Montepulciano, the varietal is not grown in the vineyards that surround the village. Famous for its late ripening, “Monte” thrives in the hot, sunny regions of Central and Southern Italy. It typically produces a wine with deep color, firm tannins and low acidity.
